February 3 -Intimacy

Bonjour, Sassy Sweethearts! In January we focused on self-care with spa treatments and a speaker about mental health. In February we’ll turn to another topic: intimacy. That’s right, we’re talking about S-E-X! Oh my! This can be a sensitive topic, so we’ve got a thought provoking video segment from MOPS International, then we’ll enjoy discussion in a safe environment. We’ll also have a craft to round out our time together.

  • Brunch is being provided by the Milky Way Navy and Moon Silver tables.

  • It’s time to restock the Moppets pantry! If you didn’t bring a snack to our last meeting, please bring a peanut-free snack to share, such as Cheerios, animal crackers, etc. You can hand it to one of the leadership ladies upstairs at drop-off.

  • Keep collecting change in your RACE for the Orphans jar. Our challenge is to reach the $250 level of sponsorship by the February 17 meeting, and we need about $150!

  • Speaking of the RACE, it’s coming up on Saturday, May 6! You can register at the RACE for the Orphans website

It’ll be a day to relax and pamper ourselves with wax hand treatments, manicures, facials, art therapy, crafts, some light stretching, and 10 minute chair massages. You read that right, a massage! Did you get the Sign Up Genius email Rachel sent to reserve your massage time slot? If not, contact your table leader and she’ll send it to you. And on top of all that, we’ll have door prizes, too!

  • Brunch is being provided by the leadership team.

December 16 – Christmas Paint Party

starryeyednewsletterHello Christmas Carolers! It’s time for our Christmas paint party! This week we’ll feast on holiday goodies, because EVERYONE is bringing their favorite Christmas food, whether it’s cookies, candy, or Grandma’s green bean casserole. Anything goes! Our eating time will be quick though, because we’ll need the whole time to paint! We have some of the talented ladies from Bubbles and Brushes coming to guide us step by step to make some fun Christmas art. Don’t stress about your artistic talent; they make it easy and fun! You may get paint on you though, so you might want to wear clothes that aren’t too precious or bring something to protect your clothes.

  • Brunch is being provided by YOU! Bring your favorite Christmas food to share.

  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on, or bring a cover up.

  • Arrive a few minutes early so we have enough time to complete our painting.

  • The first meeting of 2017 is January 6, Spa Day!

She’s going to share with us about the Wonder of Christmas. We’ll have time for discussion at our tables, and then we’ll shop ‘til we drop with all of the items you bring for our MOPS Swap! Toys, clothes, books, a rubber spatula, half a package of diapers, picture frames, most of a box of crayons, leftover hospital pads from your last baby… you get the idea. Your trash could be another mama’s treasure!

November 18 – Crossing Borders

Hello Grateful Gals! This week we’ll be closing out the 28 Day Challenge – have you thought of your One Big Thing? Our speaker is an American living abroad with her family. She’ll be talking to us about bringing wonder, hope, and kindness across borders. And we have not one, but TWO crafts! One of them is extra special because we’ll be making something for our speaker to take back with her to share with women in her community.

  • Brunch is being provided by the Moon Silver  and Big Dipper Light Blue tables

  • We have a MOPS swap coming up! Start gathering your unwanted stuff such as clothes (child and adult), shoes, toys, books, household items, etc., to bring to the December 2 meeting. Everything is free, and any items left unclaimed will be donated to charity.
